It was 2007 when two friends decided to make some music together. They teamed up as theAmplid and so began this story. Roger had been djing for some years as Radiocontrol while Xavier was more into the production of minimal techno (Imposible). They both wanted to do something more, for Roger, theAmplid was a way to get what he wanted from music, make tracks he would love to play while djing, and so he found what he was looking for. Xavier found in Roger someone who loved old analogue synths, compressed drums, and all kinds of distortions, just what his music needed.
Its been almost 2 years now, and theAmplid have made a huge effort to get some attention. They made it to Tracy Recordings and included a song in the first compilation. Now tha time has come, and theirs is the first Tracy Recordings release: Bernadette.
They have spent long days in the studio, not only producing new tunes, but preparing what they always wanted…a live set! Production is good, performance is great! It’s the only way to really know what do people feel with your music. A one-hour set that is always changing, old songs, new songs, remixes, covers and even some unfinished demos (that’s the way to test them, play them live!).
